Playing With Punkarella have been active for almost 10 years as an outlet for songwriter Lee Blades' musical abilities. Earlier names for the project included "Kill Me Kate". Eventually, after teaming up with vocalist Kim Thomson a full length album, Hell and the Heart, has been produced in their home studio. The band have described this album as:
